Margaret is a Maternal Child Health and Public Health professional, working in the field for over 15 years. She has been an IBCLC since 2010. She holds a BS in Maternal Child Health, an MPH, and is working towards a Doctor of Public Health degree. She has worked as community as a breastfeeding counselor, in private practice, in a busy OB unit, for a non-profit human milk bank, and for a large public health department, all in the Maternal and Child Health space. Margaret currently is an instructor for the University of California San Diego Lactation program, Chair of the North Central Breastfeeding Task Force, Chair of the Communications Committee of the Maternal and Child Health section of the American Public Health Association and owns a busy lactation private practice. She is passionate about improving maternal and child health outcomes with improved breastfeeding policies and practices.
