Amanda has been RN for over 25 years and worked as a floor RN in L&D and Lactation for 14 years. She became an IBCLC in 2002.
In 2010 she launched a private practice. In August 2022, she became sole owner of a very busy private practice in Denver called the mama hood that employs 6 IBCLCs.
As lead IBCLC preceptor and educator, she has created curricula and precepted over 20 aspiring IBCLCs
Amanda has lectured about the breastfeeding dyad at numerous conferences for healthcare professionals.
Amanda is a full spectrum IBCLC and has helped over 67 people induce lactation for adoptive, surrogate, and transgender people. She has extensive clinical practice working with babies with tethered oral tissues, management of multiples, tandem feeding, premature infants, prior breast surgeries and chest-feeding.
